About Mimmo

Mimmo is a Melbourne local with a passion for creativity and connection. A skateboarder at heart, he’s as comfortable cruising the streets as he is behind the lens of a camera or in front of a hot pizza oven. His journey into food began at Freddy’s Pizzeria on Chapel Street, where he not only learned the art of making pizza but also picked up a love for the Italian language and culture. It was there that Mimmo discovered his true calling: crafting pizzas that tell a story through dough and flavor.

Now working at Zita’s on Toorak Road, Mimmo has expanded his skills into the world of focaccia making, continuing his culinary education while building on his Italian fluency. Between shifts, he channels his creativity into photography projects, blending his love for food with visual storytelling. Through pop-up events held throughout the year, Mimmo shares his passion for pizza, art, and community, bringing people together one slice at a time.
